1. Nature of the Pool

This World Cup prediction pool (the “Pool”) is organized solely for recreational entertainment among friends and invited participants. It is not a commercial gambling operation, sportsbook, or investment product. Participation is voluntary and intended for social fun tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

By clicking “Submit Your Picks,” completing checkout, or otherwise entering the Pool, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Tournament Terms, including all financial obligations described below.

2. Buy-In and Entry Fees

Each valid submission requires a buy-in payment before the entry is locked on the leaderboard. The current per-entry buy-in amount is displayed in the sidebar under Pool Setup (presently $15 USD per submission) and shown again at payment checkout. The pool host may update posted amounts for future entries; the amount charged at the time you pay controls for that submission.

You agree to pay the full buy-in for every entry you submit. Payment is processed through third-party payment services (e.g., Stripe). Failed, reversed, or disputed payments may result in removal or disqualification of the associated entry at the host’s discretion.

3. Unlimited Submissions (Paid Per Entry)

Participants may submit unlimited separate entries, subject to the submission deadline announced on this site. Each entry is a distinct paid submission: you must complete a separate buy-in for every bracket you submit. There is no bulk discount unless explicitly announced by the pool host.

Entry fees, prize amounts, and pool configuration are summarized in the sidebar (Pool Setup and Winnings). Those figures are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If sidebar text and checkout differ, the amount shown at checkout for that transaction prevails.

4. Prizes and Payouts (Top Three Only)

After the tournament concludes and official results are applied, pool prizes are awarded only to the first-, second-, and third-place finishers on the leaderboard, according to the point totals and tie-break rules used on this site. Payout amounts for each place are listed under Winnings in the sidebar.

Amounts shown under Winnings are estimated winnings before any deductions for payment processing fees charged by Stripe or other processors, banking transaction fees, currency conversion, or similar costs. Actual amounts received by winners may be less than the posted figures.

In case of ties on the leaderboard, participants tied for any placement split equally the prize money allocated for that respective placement band (1st-place pool, 2nd-place pool, or 3rd-place pool independently) as shown in the Winnings section.

For example, if 3 people are tied for 1st, 2 people are tied for 2nd, and 1 person is 3rd, the 1st place winnings are split between 3 people, the 2nd place winnings are split between 2 people, and the 3rd place winnings are given to that 1 person. This will allow more people to win money and keep it more fun and engaging for everyone.

The total amount paid out across all winners will never exceed the estimated combined sum of the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place prizes shown in the sidebar.

All other participants expressly agree that they will not receive any portion of their buy-in back and that their entry fee is forfeited for pool purposes. Finishing fourth place or lower carries no monetary prize. Non-prize winnings remain in the prize pool for distribution to the top three unless otherwise decided by the host among friends in good faith.

5. Scoring, Deadlines, and Official Results

Points are calculated according to the Points Outline tab and official outcomes entered under Admin Control. Late, incomplete, or non-payment submissions may be rejected. The announced pick submission deadline is binding; entries not locked before kick-off of the stated deadline match may be disqualified.

The pool host’s recorded official results and scoring logic on this site are final for Pool purposes, subject to obvious clerical correction.

6. Eligibility and Conduct

You represent that you are legally permitted to participate in a private, social prediction pool in your jurisdiction and that you are of legal age where required. You agree not to submit entries on behalf of others without their consent, manipulate scoring, abuse payment systems, or interfere with site operation.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This site and Pool are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The host and contributors are not liable for technical errors, data loss, payment processor outages, or scoring disputes beyond good-faith correction. Maximum liability to any participant is limited to the buy-in amount that participant paid for the disputed entry.

8. Changes and Acceptance

The pool host may change these Tournament Terms, pool rules, buy-in amounts, prize displays, or other pool policies at any time by posting updates on this tab, with or without prior notice. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, do not submit picks or pay a buy-in.
